Visualisation and Imagery

Visualisation and Imagery

99% of athletes report using some kind of visualisation in their training or sport. Whilst for many it is just an image, we are going to cover the PETTLEP model of imagery which shows that imagery is a combination of a visual image, kinaesthetic feeling and emotional responses. By utilising all the tools and benefits from imagery you can improve your performance in a number of ways.

We can use imagery to controlled unwanted responses to certain situations, as well as helping you to remember highly complex cruxes and even complete sequences for longer routes. By calling on the not only the physical shapes but the feelings and emotions those moves elicit.
