Lower Body Strength

Some people might think low body strength of a climbers physique is not worth training, it does help for specific issues though. Strong quads and glutes help us to press out a high rock-over, whilst strong caves help us to maintain a stable ankle when climbing edges or smears on slabs and help stop us getting disco leg and finally a strong foot will help us to engage with even the smallest of footholds. Again whilst these exercises help, the issue may be technique based rather than strength.
