Goal Setting

Goal Setting is a much-underused part of climbing harder, without a goal you are driving a rudderless ship. A goal will help you focus on the strategies and tactics you can use to reach those goals. Whilst everyone has probably heard of SMART goals, where a goal is (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and time focused), how many of us them. Instead, we use a GOST goal setting technique that helps us address all the SMART goals but in a more practical way.

We will also look at the different types of goals and how they can be used in conjunction with on another to create a strong action plan that will yield results. We will also look at how goals and our perceive proximity to reaching them can effect our motivation and how this can be used to help us set the right goals at the right time.
