The human body has evolved to have a fight or flight response to what our brains consider scary situations. Whilst, in general, there is little we can do to fight this immediately. By understanding what the common response and behavioural effects are we can start to become aware of when we trigger that response and start to rationalise what we feel. Because fear and anxiety can have disastrous effects on performance, we will explore several of the leading theories as to how that response can affect the different types of people. In doing so we can also start to come up with ways to counteract our fear response.
