Cross-Throughs and Roll-overs

Cross-Throughs and Roll-overs

These are common of step hard limestone routes where you might get good holds some distance apart. Occasionally we might be forced to get our left hand as far right as we can reach or vice versa. This is done via a cross-through (when the arm reach goes underneath the one hanging on) and the roll-over (when the arm reaching goes over the top of the one hanging on). At the extreme reach these will feel very off balance and impossible, as such getting to know your limits will help you be confident in this skill.
