Climbing Roofs and Overlaps
Climbing a roof or an overlap can be as simple as a single pull or it can mean climbing completely upside down for a a series of moves. Whilst there are a few specific techniques, in general it is about try to rest before you are forced to climb around an overlap or through a roof, to reach the less steep terrain above.
In general we are talking of very steep terrain, that marks a distinct change in angle from vertical to extremely overhanging. The size of the impasse could be a small 50cm overlap to a large 1m or more roof.
